-{Snowflake pop-up box card}-

After I watched Monica Gale's tutorial which can be found {here}I just had to have a go making this pop-up box card. The instructions were really great, and the technique is so adaptable.

It's a fab way to make a really special, attention grabbing card.

I've used the Festive Flurry stampset and Framelits Dies and the Winter Frost Speciality DSP.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Messages stamp set, all the items can be ordered through me.  I've accented with the Glitter card and Basic Rhinestones.

-{Venetian Romance}-

Is the name of the beautiful Designer Series Paper I have used for the gift bag and card below.
If you like elegant design with a hint of the shabby and the insides of old book covers then these papers are for you.  As with all Stampin Up paper, the thickness is sturdy enough to make items such as gift bags, and being double sided you have lots of choice of patterns.

It was my Mother in law's birthday last month and I had bought a mother of pearl necklace for her a few months ago.  I wanted the packaging to be a little bit special. So this is what I made...

-{Dress and bow tutorial}-

I've come over all girly!

Had a play with various punches to create this dress and bow.  I've done a quick youTube video to show you how it's done, please have a look.  Let me know if you create anything, I would love to see what you make.

-{Acorn template blog hop PCS}-

Welcome to the PCS blog hop, and a special "hi" if you have come from Wendy's blog {here}

This month's template from the Paper Crafters Sampler is to make a shaped pocket to put a gift in (you can purchase it {here}. The original template is to make an acorn shape, however I had a play and came up with this strawberry.

The template is really easy to use, just print it out on the wrong side of the patterned paper or cardstock, cut it out, decorate and stick together.  I used the Square Lattice Folder to give it some texture, and cut leaves from the Leaves Sizzix die (which is retiring this month).  The flower is made from the 5 petal flower punch (also retiring) and the centre from the Boho Blossom punch. I added the seeds with the white gel pen from Stampin' Up!

The July 2012 Sampler celebrates the brillant array of summer colors.  Looking for a way to bring summer into your home without the heat, check out the "Summer Spectrum" issue.

The small flowers were wired with little pearl centres.

-{squaring up}-

Apologies for not posting in such a long time!

Life has been a wee bit busy, and although I have been making cards and photographing them, I have not managed to get them on here till now.

I must tell you about the June offer Stampin' UP! has on their Designer Series Paper (that is all the packs priced £9.95 in the main and mini catalogue), if you buy three packs you get a fourth FREE!  A good time to stock up on pretty papers.

I really enjoyed making these, I used the Attic Boutique papers - which I love!

-{passion for grey pt 1}-

Loving the Basic Grey at the moment.  Have you noticed?
Found this lovely card  >here < by Monica, and was so inspired I got playing.
I stamped some flowers from the Green House Garden stamp set, they were a bit too large for the effect I wanted, so I cut a spiral into them and rolled them up.

I think this is the first time I have inked up this stamp from the Green House Garden set, I completely bypassed it! Will be using it a lot more now!

Can you see the little green flowers have a slight suede texture?  By scrunching and roughing the flower up (punched from cardstock), you can then separate the layers, so not only do you get 2 for the price of 1, but a lovely texture.

NOEL - Christmas Decor

Yes, it will soon be that time of year!
I've already seen some Christmas decorations hanging up in a supermarket.

Thought it would be nice to decorate some letters with Stampin' Up! paper and accessories.  They measure 5 inches tall and would look great propped on a mantelpiece.

If you would like to do a class where we make these - there will be another designer paper options like the nostalgic Holly Berry Bouquet...

and Flirtatious

and Cheerful Treat

We will also make a card to match

If you would like to do a set of letters please book a place ASAP, as I need to order the letters in.

The cost of the class is £14 and will include the materials and 4 wooden letters.

You can order additional letters if you would like to continue making them at home, they cost £1.50 each.

Anniversary card and retiring items...

Had some time to play last night after I finished the preparation for a birthday Crafty Party.  Used the stamps from the retiring (boohoo) Hostess Set Punch Potpourri and Something to Celebrate.

It's been an exciting and traumatic week for Stampin Up hostesses in the UK as they've revealed which stamp sets and other items are retiring.  This basically means that on the 1st October they will no longer be available and a new idea book and catalogue will be in operation. Now that's the fun part, we've already had a sneak preview of the new catalogue, and although we're sad to see some favourites go, we're really excited to be able to share some lovely new products with you.

As usual, the quality is second to none, the colour co ordination is impeccable and the attention to detail is beautiful.  I am awaiting delivery of some new products to play with and show you.

Before that, just wanted to encourage you to look at the retiring list HERE, and a few of the items going AND that are reduced!  Please contact me ASAP to place an order, as these items can sell out fast!

Neighbourhood Wheel was £8.50 now £5.10

Sweet Birthday stamp was £6.95 now £5.21

Basic Phrases was £33.95 now £25.46
