Finally got round to tidying my craft table the other week, and couldn't bear to throw away the little punched bits and bobs that seem to accumulate.  So tried to use them up without adding too many other extras.

Christmas on my mind...

Last week was a busy Christmas week.  I held the NOEL letters class at my house twice, and been making the odd Christmas themed card.  Here is one I cased from Julie's blog HERE.

Been playing with my new Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder - I love it, it's so luxurious! It turns plain card into something quite lovely.

NOEL - Christmas Decor

Yes, it will soon be that time of year!
I've already seen some Christmas decorations hanging up in a supermarket.

Thought it would be nice to decorate some letters with Stampin' Up! paper and accessories.  They measure 5 inches tall and would look great propped on a mantelpiece.

Winter reflections...

Saw this technique done on some cards and thought I'd have a go.  It's so easy to get that "reflection" effect.  Just stamp onto a piece of clear plastic (recycled packaging is perfect), turn it over and align your image at the bottom of the image on your card, then press it down.

Welcome Christmas...

...in August! I know a lot of Stampin' Up! demonstrators are way ahead of me and already held Christmas in July events.  I'm afraid I wasn't that organised, however I have made a start.  Here are some cards using the beautiful and nostalgic Welcome Christmas set.

My current favourite way to add the special finish to a card is the pearls and crystals, they are a great quality.  The only things I have to be careful of is that they don't ping off the backing paper into oblivion when I try to get them off!

A Noteworthy note...

A fabulous parcel of goodies for my customers and some more stash for me to play with arrived this week.  I had been wanting to play with the Noteworthy Die, ever since my upline Claire showed it to me.

I made these super super quick little thank you cards using it.  

• I folded the card stock in half before placing it over half the die.  
• Stuck some leftover pieces of Designed Paper (Hostess level 1 pad), stamped a sentiment and added some faux stitching. 
• The little flowers were punched form the Boho Blossom Punch (another item I was eager to get my hands on!) 
• I cupped them with the end of a pencil and inked the edges, added a pearl which seems to just finish them off nicely.
