-{Stamping with MERRIEST MOMENTS and CELEBRATE WITH FLOWERS}-

I wanted to share with you an alternative "non Christmas" use of a new stamp set called Merriest Moments.  It contains some poinsettia looking flowers, some detailed foliage and some sentiments.  It also has some matching dies and a hybrid embossing folder.

It can be found in the new August to December mini catalogue {here}

I decided to use summery colours, and if you would like to watch the process here is the video that was filmed at the end of July,

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Loaded Envelope

Welcome to October's Stampin Sunday Blog Hop

I had great fun creating this month's project.
It's a stuffed envelope, well, I made it slightly bigger than your average envelope so I could pack lots of goodies in.  When I did a search on the internet for what one was, there was such an amazing variety of creative ideas.  The idea I latched onto was to decorate or gather useful items to put in a fun paper pocket.

I started off with 2 pieces of 6" wide DSP, they were then folded and cut to create a layered pocket.

I gathered some colour co-ordinated teabags and sweets and bagged them up.

These are a decorated notebook, a book mark and some sticky notes.

I then couldn't resist making some fun paperclip toppers, by the way the paper clips are quite large, about 3" long.

Here is the pocket envelope stuffed with all the goodies, ready to give as a fun gift.

To see how I put the pocket together have a look at this short video

Isn't it adorable? I look forward to making more of these.

{Getting Inky and stamping art} collage style stamping

I had so much fun getting inky with some bright inks and various stamps. A whole sheet of card was used initially.

It's a process that requires a little bit of courage to keep applying ink and stamped images, then go in with some heat embossing and white ink to create focus and contrast.

After the colourful layer went down, I heat embossed the butterflies with black embossing powder.

To make the butterflies standout more, a blob of White reinker was put onto a block and I used the Water Painters to lighten them.

The sheet was then cut into 4 and additional stamping and swishing the bak ink pad over the edges was added.

This is the video tutorial of the process

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Saleabration Farewell September 2021

Hi there and welcome to this month's hop.  We decided to give you a  little reminder of what is available for FREE during these last days of Saleabration.

With a £45 purchase, this adorable set of papers 158420

and with a £90 purchase this beautiful stamp set (sorry to US customers, I don't think it's available anymore)

I decided to make some tags and show them off with the gorgeous ombre bags from the annual catalogue.

They were so much fun to make.

I created a bit of a production line of all my pieces, including fussy cut animals and punched out elements.

By choosing colours featured in the designer series paper, this saved me time and also created a cohesive look to the colour scheme.

Can you spot the stars cut from this super sparkly card?  That is free too!

I love how the business of the tags looks paired with the simplicity of the bags.

Here is the video showing how I made them...

I used nearly all the current green ink pads

The flowers were coloured using Cherry Cobbler ink and a blending brush.  The original paper was white, it took the colour so well,
