{Getting Inky and stamping art} collage style stamping

I had so much fun getting inky with some bright inks and various stamps. A whole sheet of card was used initially.

It's a process that requires a little bit of courage to keep applying ink and stamped images, then go in with some heat embossing and white ink to create focus and contrast.

After the colourful layer went down, I heat embossed the butterflies with black embossing powder.

To make the butterflies standout more, a blob of White reinker was put onto a block and I used the Water Painters to lighten them.

The sheet was then cut into 4 and additional stamping and swishing the bak ink pad over the edges was added.

This is the video tutorial of the process

{One Sheet Wonder Wednesday - Daisies!}

Happy Wednesday folks!

Sorry it has been a couple of weeks without a one sheet wonder.
Here is a set of cards using the Daisy Lane stamp set and the brick stencil that is available in a set of 4 "Pattern Party Decorative Masks".

I love how 4 cards can be quickly made using this technique.
The Daisy Lane stamp set some with a new daisy punch, it's slightly smaller than the one that is already available.

As a special offer in June, if you purchase the bundle from me using my host code, I will send you a free kit that will enable you to make 3 cards from the set.

{One Sheet Wonder Wednesday - Sheltering Tree meets Very Vintage}

There's nothing like a retiring list to dust off some favourite stamp sets!
Stampin' Up have released the list of items that are retiring out of the main and Spring/Summer catalogue.  To see a video walk through go here

As a demonstrator I often sell off or gift retiring stamps as it doesn't make business sense for me to hold on to them.  However for those of you who love creating and having a variety of stamps to use in your card making it's time to take a closer look at the catalogue, and perhaps grab the ones you've been thinking about while stocks last.

The Sheltering Tree stamp set has served me well over the years, it has some great images and some lovely sentiments that are perfect for lots of occasions.

I decided to pair it up with Very Vintage, a host set that has been available this past year.

{One Sheet Wonder Wednesday - Stampin Up Touches of Texture}

Hi there, welcome to my blog, sorry I didn't get round to doing a one sheet wonder last week.

This week, as I had the stamps and inks out I decided to do two.

I've used the fabulous Touches of Texture stamp set, it has lots of beautiful images.

I limited my palette to Greens and Yellow and used
Tranquil Tide
Garden Green
Lemon Lime Twist
Pineapple Punch

Although I have made bookmarks from these, they could be cut in a different way to make card fronts or a scrapbook layout.

{Emboss Resist One Sheet Wonder - Up and Away}

Happy One Sheet Wonder day!

I thought I had a new video to share today, but alas not, however I found this one that I had uploaded months ago and forgot to share with you.

I filmed it back in November last year when I was making swaps for a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator event.

Anyway, it uses one of my favourite techniques, enjoy!

These are the colours I used:
Mint Macaron
Granny Apple Green
Bermuda Bay
Tranquil Tide

{Alternative Joseph's coat technique with collage stamping}

More swap making for the upcoming Stampin' Up! get together in November.

Here is a technique that is very similar to the Joseph's coat technique that I have seen around, or otherwise known as an emboss resist.

It's a great way to create a background that can be used fo multiple card making.

Enjoy the video!

{One Sheet Wonder Wednesday - Abstract Impressions meets Playful Backgrounds}

Hi there, hope you're having a good day.
Today's One Sheet Wonder is a nod to those last days of summer.  As we head into Autumn, the temperatures are dropping here in mid Wales, however we are still enjoying some sunny days, long may they continue!

Here I have combined two photopolymer stamp sets.
Abstract Impressions and Playful Backgrounds, and the colours I have used are
Lemon Lime Twist
Petal Pink
Grapefruit Grove and
Pumpkin Pie
