Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Stocking Fillers

Hi there and welcome, today I have a quick little project to make a fab little stocking filler gift.

This gorgeous Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! totally has my heart, it is packed with stunning florals in really pretty colour schemes suitable for lots of occasions.  It comes in 6" x 6" which is the perfect size for this project.  It's called Garden walk and the code for it is 162227.

This little box easily holds a couple of tea lights - I'm mostly loving the scented ones from Aldi at the moment!

I teamed the floral paper with one from the Fresh as a Daisy DSP set.  I wanted a plain design for the base to offset the busy florals.

The red ribbon is the finishing touch for this sweet scented gift.

If you would like to see how I made the box, please watch this video...

Shimmy and Shake - Stamping Sunday Blog Hop

Hellooooo, happy September! How is yours going?
We've had a few changes with eldest son returning home from Uni, currently on a quest to find work - also engaged! Eeek Mother in Law life starting next year.  Then Son no 2 has flown the nest to start Uni, studying Primary education.

In the craft studio I finally got round to ordering a beautiful sea themed stamp set.  The art work is so detailed, it's a massive reminder of why I love stamping, I can create or demonstrate in seconds what would take me hours to do with a pen. It's called Beauty of the Deep by Stampin' Up!

I thought it was perfect to create this month's
Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Shimmy and Shake
I loved the idea of creating fish swimming around in a porthole.

The background was created using some in direct to a block, sprizting on it and smooshing it onto the Basic White card, then stamped a few strands of seaweed.

The fish were stamped and fussy cut out.

So, confession time, I meant to stick the white circle frame that I had cut out onto the card, yup, I completely forgot!

I used the Time 3D embossing folder and some Gray Granite ink to create the woodgrain.

Here is a short video of how I made it.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - You've Been Framed

Hi and welcome to the...
blog hop.

My apologies for a long abscence.  A special hello if you have arrived here via the fabulous Mikaela's blog.

The theme of "You've been Framed" helped me create this masculine style card by using a couple of the deckle edged rectangles and using them to cut a frame.

The background was stamped with a variety of images from Gorgeously Made 161193 and Watercolor World 160708, the bold Happy Birthday was stamped using Biggest Wish 155052

If you would like to watch my creative process, have a look at this video here.

Thank you so much for stopping by, please do have a look at thte other creations by the amazing demonstrators below...

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Current Products

Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop

This month we are featuring current products in a couple of projects.

I've choosen to focus on these pretty papers 161139, and the retiring daisy punch 149517.

I wanted to show off the papers so designed a box bag and then decorated it using punch outs from the Daisy Punch and the Bough Punch 157711

It was so much fun to mix 3 ribbons together.
I used Pool Party Sheer ribbon 152462, White Seam Binding (sorry think it's sold out in Europe) and some retired Soft Sea Foam ribbon, I've finished the centres with 3 pearls.

Here is a square card using the two largest circles from the Stylish Shapes Dies 159183

I cut a couple of flowers out from the DSP and then created some daisies to add some extra detail.

The sentiment came from the Sending Smiles set 158701

Here is the video of how I made the projects

Thank you for being here, please have a look at the other beautiful projects here...

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Life is a Wild Ride

Hi there, thank you for joining me today, this week's theme is

Life is a wild ride

I have to admit I have takin this theme very loosely, and squeezed my creations into the theme, by using the lovely bee die as the focal point on both my cards... wild bees of course!  I hope you agree that the colours choosen are life affirming.

I found the template for the card above on a video by Mitosu crafts {here}
I love how it looks quite complicated, but is actually quite simple to make.  The base is Pale Papaya.

I used the Country Gingham and Lovely in Linen papers.

I love how papers from different collections can be mixed together.

This stepper card was Cased from Sam Calcott, the video is {here}
I adapted the measurements to centimetres and cut the card to 14.5cm by 29cm and scored at 7.5cm 15cm, 19cm, 23cm and 26cm.  The squares measure 10cm x 10cm, 8cm x 8cm, 6cm x 6cm. All the designer series paper was then cut 0.5cm less so that there was a small border all around.

The card base is Evening Evergreen.

Here is the video of how the cards were constructed

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - In a Word

Welcome to another blog hop around the world.
This month we are making sentiments or words from letter stamps or dies.

This month I have choosen the Alphabest Stamp and co-ordinating punch.

It's one of those staple paper craft tools when making personalised cards or projects.  I love how Stampin' Up! have catered for a variety of languages this way.

As I have lived in Wales for over 20 years and have children who can speak Welsh, I love that I can give cards featuring Penblwydd Hapus, which means Happy Birthday.

I used the Favoured Flowers DSP, I find it such a dramatic paper and teamed with the black and white lettering it works perfectly.  I teamed it with Fresh Freesia and Mossy Meadow cardstock.

To see how I made the card please watch this brief video
