{3D paper flower using Circle and Pansy Punch}

Doing something of what makes my heart smile in this video. I love making paper flowers and had had this idea in my head for a while before I finally got down to having a go with it.

I taught this to my ladies at my local class, and in spite it taking a bit of time and fiddling, I think they came away quite impressed with themselves.

As there are quite a few steps to making this the video is a little longer than usual.  However I have created a shorter one if you'd like to view that instead.

{Unicorn Canvas Art}

So if you hadn't noticed, Unicorns are on trend... don't know how to escape from them, so rather than fight it I've decided to join in!

I was totally inspired by a card created by Monica Gale and also various Unicorn cakes I had seen on Pinterest.  They looked rather classy rather than twee so I decided to make a bigger version on a
canvas.

Here is one with a Christmas colour scheme that I designed.

A local craft shop and art studio asked me to run workshops for children and this design has been very popular, there are quite a few children in my town who are the proud owners of their own Unicorn canvas that they have made.

The main ingredients you'll need to make something like these is some glimmer paper, and various floral punches.  To add a bit of texture to the background a stencil and some embossing paste or a spritzer with some ink and water.

Here are a couple of video tutorials... a long one explaining the process and a shorter one to give you a quick idea of what is involved.

Using up those papers!

I'm as guilty as any other paper crafter for hoarding those beautiful papers and not getting round to using them... but no more!

I decided to get chopping and punching and sticking, and this is what I came up with.

The papers are from the Playful Palette DSP stack, which comes in a 6x6 format, perfect for card making, and for square cards which I am addicted to making at the moment!

I also filmed some of the process of YouTube live.
Do follow me on there if you would like to join the live fun!

{Paper Flower Christmas Wreath}

More paper flowers! I guess it's my "thing" I love making them.
Here is a video giving you some inspiration to make your own... it also features my daughter as she wanted to be in on the action too!

Some of the dies used are not available any more, sorry about that... however they may be found via auction sites or with a bit of tinkering you can use what you have already.

{New In Colours on a Paper Flower Wreath}

Hi there, today I am showing you a bit more detail of the wreath I made for Onstage 2016, this was an event just for demonstrators, and we got to see and play with some new products.  Prior to this I was fortunate to be selected to have some new products even earlier to make samples to inspire others.

Here is a wreath I made, and a little video explaining how, if you have any questions about the products used, please get in touch.

{More In Colour 2016-2018 creations}

When I was sent "the" box of goodies from Stampin' Up to make the samples for Onstage, I have to confess I felt both overwhelmed and underwhelmed... if that makes sense.  It was nerve wracking playing with the new colours, initially I explored how they looked with our current colours, however after being told that I needed to focus on the new ones I approached my task with renewed vigour.

I returned to my love of 3D florals, fauna and butterflies, and tried to show off each colour in a different way, using various textures through stamping and shaping the card.

Here are more detailed photos and a video explaining how I created each card.

{40th Birthday card}

Had the pleasure of making this for a friend of mine last week.

For any of you who love Stampin' Up! products there's only a couple of days left to benefit from all the fab offers on at the moment.

The best one (in my opinion) is to sign up and get up to £61 of free products!
For £99 you can choose £160 Stampin' Up! goodies.  Please contact me asap for a no pressure chat about what it would involve.

Used up some retired paper for the flowers.  The background was embossed with the Fluttering embossing folder, then I used a sponge dabbed with in the white Craft Ink.
