{Using up some paper scraps to make some cards}

Happy Bank Holiday Monday to all those in the UK.
We had quite a storm on Sunday night, it's been a long time since I heard thunder that loud!
The brook beside our house got clogged up with debris and caused quite a bit of havoc as it overflowed down the hill and into the hospital below.  Apparently we made the news!

Anyway, the clean up operation has begun, and services have resumed.  It's quite incredible what water can do.

{Shabby Chic Altered Art Decorated Wooden Letters}

A few weeks ago I decorated these wooden letters for fellow demo's I met up with when we met up for Onstage (Stampin' Up!'s corporate training event for demonstrators)

Although I used quite a few paper flowers from my stash I also used the retiring hostess set Background Bits and oodles and oodles of dies to cut out lots of leaves from glimmer and gold card.

I'm sorry about the photo quality, I completely forgot to take proper photos of the finished letters.

{Swap making - flowers and polkas}

Been trying to make a start ton some swaps for a Stampin' Up! event coming up in November.

I am totally in love with this colour combo and the Flourish Thinlets Die.  The die brush makes it so easy to extract the delicate die cuts from the metal dies.  Saves all the faffing I used to do with wax paper!

{Ombre effect with Sponge Brayer}

Had great fun at a class last week helping some ladies get to grips with the new sponge brayers.

The sample card I made for them to copy was given to my son's teacher as it was the end of the school year and he'll be moving to high school in September.  So here is a picture of one that was made during the workshop
