~{Artisan Embellishments Kit}~

This little kit totally brought out the girly in me. It's made up of ribbon, buttons, paper doilies and other bits and pieces.

I've been making a few cards with it.

Here's a couple for starters. I'll post more soon.

~{Birthday Blues }~

I've been seeing lots of "chalk board" technique cards in blogland and pinterest recently.

Thought I'd give it a go myself.

Instead of stamping with white ink onto black card (which is one way of doing it) I embossed with clear embossing powder onto white card. Then used three different blues and sponged over the top. I used Island Indigo, Night of Navy and Midnight Muse to create a dark but multi toned background.

Do you notice the fabulous ripped edge? This was created using a gadget that nearly passed me by in the current spring/summer catalogue (pg 14). Its a distress tool, ergonomically shaped and easy to use, its great for vintage, distressed and shabby chic style cards, only £4.50. Also useful for taking on aeroplanes if you need to cut thread! My mum has a similar one for her tatting.

~{kindness matters }~

Here are a couple of cards made with the very pretty and one of the least expensive sets in the catalogue.

The butterflies on this one were stamped and coloured with a blender pen.

I stamped lots of times with Pretty in Pink to create a background, then stamped on top using Basic Grey.

-{spring catalogue is here }-

Yummy yummy yummy!

I was extremely constrained with my pre order. There are so many pretty products in {this} new catalogue.   It would be very easy to spend £45 to get your free gift out of the Saleabration leaflet, see it {here}

Here is a card made with the gorgeous Tea for Two designer series paper.
If you like florals, teatime, shabby chic, patchwork and a spring colour palette then this is one for you.  As usual there are also some generic patterns in colours that would be fine for mens cards.
