{Purple Flowers and Unicorns}

Hi, and welcome to my blog, have you had the chance to be creative today?  If not, I hope these projects will give you some inspiration.

I'm playing catch up with various projects and videos I have created and not got round to blogging.

Here are a couple of projects that were just screaming out to be shared together as they have purple in common.  The first is a birthday card I made for my daughter.  I stamped a whole sheet of card then used just a quarter of it and mounted it onto a A5 card base (basically an A4 piece of card folded in half).  The main focal point is the unicorn from Leave a Little Sparkle, then I used various other stamps to decorate around it including Abstract Impressions, Very Versailles and Pop of Petals.

There are 2 versions of the video tutorial, here is the faster edited version

and here is the longer one, with all the mistakes I made along the way.

This second card was inspired by a friend who loves purple and butterflies.

I used Butterfly Wishes, Beautiful Friendship and the swirl from Leave a Little Sparkle.
The colours are Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Purple Posy (discontinued) and Gray Granite
Here is the sped up tutorial set to music...

and here is the longer "real time" one.

{One Sheet Wonder stamping diagonally and what I made from them}

Hi everyone, this post sharing the results of a YouTube live video which can be found here... be warned it's very long. However if you would like to hear the explanations of my thought process when stamping, you may find it useful.

Here is a faster version

Here are the results of the stamping session

Colours used: Poppy Parade, Balmy Blue, Rococco Rose, Daffodil Delight and Soft Sea Foam

Colours used: Melon Mambo, Balmy Blue, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Soft Sea Foam

Colours used: Night of Navy, Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue , Seaside Spray

Over the following few days I cut up the stamped sheets and created these cards.

I then did two more YouTube lives where I showed how I cut up the sheet and matting layers.  Again they're both quite long videos, but worth watching if you would like the details.

Here is how I cut up this sheet

and here are the matting layers with lots of rectangles cut out of them.. yes I'm that frugal!

And here are the cards

Well, if you're reached the end of this blog post you deserve a medal!
Thank you for sticking with me, I hope it's inspired you to get your stamps out and play!

Don't forget, if you would like a copy of the new Autumn/Winter catalogue you can drop me a line and I'll pop one in the post to you.

{Stampin Sunday Blog Hop - Inked Background}

Hi there, welcome to my blog, today is the day of the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop, I am privileged to be a member of this inspiring group of demonstrators. Do have a look at their blogs (links further down).

Petal Promenade designer series paper available from Ruth Trice

Today's theme is to create and inked background.  In the UK we are still waiting for a product called Pigment Sprinkles to get through European customs.  However there are lots of products available that can produce some very effective results.

As it was the end of the school term my daughter wanted to make some cards for her teachers and teaching assistants.

We made some inky backgrounds on the Shimmer White card, then stamped and decorated.

After the cards were made I had made this banner with the Pop of Petals stamps.

Here is the video explaining how it was all done, I hope you will inspired to get inky and create custom backgrounds for your creations.

Here are the other fabulous bloggers...
