Christmas Stampathon October 2022 - Birds and Branches

Hi there, thank you for popping in.

Today I am so pleased to present my box in a card.  I'll explain some of the background.  For this months Christmas Stampathon challenge, the theme was
Birds and Branches
and to make 4 or more cards.

Head to the Facebook group {here} to take part

I had these lovely Open Leaf trinkets from the Mini catalogue and had been desperate to make some earrings using them.

I also had some bird charms that worked well with them.  I needed to make something to house them and be a card, so I spent a couple of hours figuring out some measurements and came up with these...

I decorated the front "card" with a die cut from the Aspen Tree Dies cut from some Rose Gold speciality paper.

The card stands as normal, but, it also has a surprise cavity on the inside

It has plenty of space for long earrings

Here is the video of how to make this

and here is a template showing how to create the box section

The dashed lines are the score lines, the solid lines are the cut lines

{Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Tags in a Box}

Hi there, I'm Ruth from Artful Stampin and welcome to another Stamping Sunday Blog Hop.

My apologies for not making last month's hop, October seemed to just run away with me.  We're planning to move house soon so there has been lots of decluttering, sorting and clearing to do.

So the theme this month is to make some tags, either with a box or 3 different ways.  I opted for the box as I'm trying to get better at box making.

Here is the box with my set of tags

This is the lid of the box which I stamped with the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and then decorated with some die cuts from the matching set of dies.

Here is a quick tutorial showing how I made these

To make the box base cut card 8 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches and score 1 inch all the way around.
To make the lid cut card 8 1/4 by 5 inches and score just under 3/4 inches all the way around.
The inside divider was made by cutting card 3 1/2 inches by 8 1/4.

{Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Night Before Christmas}

Hi there crafters, my name is Ruth and welcome to another...

Each month a team of creative demonstrators bring some fab ideas based on a set  or theme of products.

This month we are looking at the Night Before Christmas suite.

I choose the papers to purchase and play with.

I decided to make 3 items following a similar format.

Here is a simple box decorated with the papers and coordinating colour card. I used the Stitched Stars Dies and leaf punches to cut additional embellishments.

Here is a card, this time with some elements cut out from the papers.

Finally a little bag ready to put a gift in.

Here is a video tutorial of how I cut and assembled everything
