{Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Speciality Paper}

Hi there crafty friend, how is your weekend going?  The sun has started to show itself a bit more and we were able to enjoy a sunny spring walk this afternoon (Saturday).

In other news, we have moved house since the last hop, and work has begun on a garden office/studio for my business. Looking forward to being able to show you pictures.

So todays focus on

is Speciality Papers by Stampin' Up!

Basically any paper that has shiny bits on it, can't resist a bit of shiny!

This month I have decided to make 3 cards.  The first one is this

Can you believe that all the tools I used where a pair of scissors, the Take Your Pick tool (I forgot the name of it on my video... doh!) and the Stamping Mat.

The leaves where cut from this paper...

and the butterfly was hand cut from the lighter pink foil card.  The detail on the butterfly was created with the pointy end of the pick tool and if you look closely you can see swirls of tiny holes coming from the leaves.

The next card I have stepped it up a bit more with the use of some flower punches
Can.not.live.without.flower.punches! They are so handy for creating embellishments and detail AND hiding an ink blob.

The flowers were cut using the Small Bloom Punch and shaped with the ball tool attachment of the Take Your Pick tool, please watch the video for how I did this.

Then finally... the shiniest card ever! Well, I tried to tame the shiny with some Stazon ink and embossing.

Couldn't resist using the tiny papers that were strewn across my desk from using the Confetti Flowers Border punch.

Here is the video tutorial, apologies for the lighting and forgetting names.

Please take a look at the other hoppers and their wonderful projects, and see you again next month!
