Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Gilding Flakes

Happy Sunday everyone, thank you for popping by to see what I'm up to with the Gilding Flakes today.

This blog post is part of a hop, so please check out the other bloggers for some more Gilding Flake ideas.

I have made 3 super simple cards using 2 ways of adhering the flakes.

Here is a card with the flakes used on the scallop circle and butterfly.

The first way is by using some adhesive sheets, and yes they are available in the current catalogue.  They are really easy to use.  Choose the card or paper (it could be a scrappy piece as it's going to be covered up), then cut a piece of adhesive sheet to the size you need, remove the backing and apply to it.  Cut the shape you want from the card/paper, then remove the 2nd backing sheet and apply the flakes to it.

For htese cards I used the Stampin' Up! Tear and Tape to create a sticky border and then burnished the flakes over it.  Then to create the centre I cu t out a piece of card stock that I had stuck some adhesive sheet to.

Here is the video tutorial
