{Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Floral Romance}

Hello and Welcome, I hope you having a great Sunday so far.  Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop.  We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world, we love sharing ideas and inspiration with you, so please make sure you have a look at the other blogs.

I choose to focus on the Floral Romance Suite, and in particular the beautiful paper and ribbon, with the addition of some sentiments from the stamp set and a few other embellishments.

There are 12 sheets in total in the pack, 6 vellum sheets, 3 each of 2 single-sided designs and 6 printed sheets, 3 each of 2 double-sided designs.  The top two in the picture above are the vellum sheets.  I decided to focus on these in particular on my cards.

This card doesn't require many special tools, it consists of a piece of vellum and some cut out leaves from the leafy vellum sheet.  There are some gorgeous mini buttons on page 39 of the Spring/Summer catalogue, the colours go perfectly with the papers.  I took apart some of the white flax ribbon (pg 35 Spring/Summer) and threaded up the buttons and tied a bow... can't bear a naked button!  I stamped a sentiment onto some Whisper White card and attached it.

The next card has some more elements to it.
Do you notice the scored frame around the edge of the card?  Such a simple little technique using the trimmer's score blade, or a score board.  Just turn your card upside down and score away.

The new Crackle stamp is fabulous for creating backgrounds, to stamp just a hint of it I only inked the centre of the stamp and held it in my hand and dabbed it to place it in the centre of my card.  the little pink flowers I cut using one of the little flower punches from the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack (pg 25 Spring/Summer)

I made use of the gorgeous variegated ribbon for this card, it's perfect for making sumptuous bows like this, with a little help from some glue dots.

Can you see the little dots around the card and the vellum?  The piercing tool and stamping mat came in handy with a ruler to create this simple but effective accent.  Couldn't resist adding a few extra pearls too.

All the sentiments came from this stamp set...

Thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoy visiting all the other blogs today.
