{Blessings of Home and Flowers of Home Dies}

Well, a very
Happy New Year
to all my readers

Thank you for sticking with me!
2021 was a bit of a whirlwind, this time last year I was getting ready to move house.  Since then we have been slowly settling in and getting used to our new space as a family.  I was very grateful to be able to squeeze a studio into the garden so I could easily carry on my Stampin' Up! business.  I feel like I am emerging out of a Covid bubble and am adjusting to the possibility of being able to run in person classes again whilst also maintaining and improving my online presence.

So for those of you who don't know, I have a YouTube channel {here} where I have been doing `live' crafting sessions nearly every weekday night for the last 2 years. If you would like to get a Whatapp notification from me to tell you when I am on please email me ruthtrice@gmail.com (sorry I don't have a schedule).  If you don't catch me live the videos are viewable afterwards.

The January to June mini catalogue is now available and can be viewed {here} or you can go to my online shop {here} and see all the yummy new products.

The card below were made during a live using the gorgeous new stamp set called Blessings of Home, it also has a coordinating die set.

The flower focal image was coloured in using Stampin' Blends, they are alcohol pens that are available in the light and dark version of each colour, it makes colour blending really easy.

The white thread you can see was taken from some ribbon I pulled apart, it's called Frayed Ribbon (158138)

Here is the second card

This time I took the main image and stamped it in Blackberry Bliss, then using a Blender Pen, I semi coloured in the flowers by reactivating the Blackberry Bliss and pulling it into the pale parts of the image.  I also cut some delicate leaves using the dies and coloured them in with a Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Blend

Have you spotted the pretty vellum? It's a printed one called Layering Designs

To shop for all the products featured in today's post I have created a simple shopping cart link {here}

Here is the video of me making the cards...

{Easy ombre technique with Stamparatus}

The stamparatus has been proving to be very versatile, I have seen this technique done a few times, and it is certainly one that "wows" people when they see me demonstrate it.

I know some crafting purists would say that this may be taking the "handmade" out of handmade, however for others it pushes their creativity to a place where it's just simpler.  Also for those of my customers who have dexterity issues when trying to hold a block and stamp it where they want it to go, the Stamparatus has made what was impossible for them previously, possible.  It's been liberating and freeing for them to be able to stamp in a way that I take for granted with hands that work.

So, here is a card that shows off one of the amazing features of the Stamparatus.  You can stamp a precisely repeated pattern, and depending on the stamp create an ombre effect.

{Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Stamparatus}

Hello, and welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop featuring the Stamparatus.

It is my absolute honour to be invited to take part in this again, do remember to have a look at the other blogs in this hop for more creative ideas with the Stamparatus (not long now to be able to order one).

The first project is a card with a background created with the Stamparatus.  I know it's quite subtle, however if you look closely you can see that the Marbled Stamp mage is more than one colour.

Here is how I did it

The next project is a bag, again I used a bit of the background I had created before, then I used the Stamparatus to create a repeat border all around the top of the bag... I promise it really is all the way round!

Here is how I did that...

Do you spot some new products? As well as the fab new colours, I also used some gorgeous new embellishments in the way of coloured pearls and faceted gems, aren't they yummy?!  If you can't wait till June to get your hands on these, then how about joining the Stampin' Up! club? For £99 you can choose £130 of product, and these sneak peek items are on the list of what you can choose.

{Spring card and the Stamparatus}

Spring is in the air! Not sure for how long though, we've had the odd sunny day but are still awaiting some colder weather.

In spite of the snow, the daffodils have come through in the garden an my Camellia is showing off it's lovely pink blooms.

Here is a bright card using the You're Inspiring stamp set.  Of course I just had to have it as I live in Wales, and my Stampin' Up! team is called the Daffodil Delights.

By the way, if you are thinking of purchasing a few Stampin' Up! products, or are regularly purchasing and would like to save money, it's worth thinking about signing up.  For £99 you can choose £130 of product AND choose 2 additional stampsets - postage free (Worth up to £200).
