{Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Tropical Chic}

Such fun to join in with this blog hop today.

The focus is on the Tropical Escape Suite which can be found here.

It's a fabulous fresh collection full of lovely leaf shapes, great for people who like making floral cards... ahem me!

I used 3 sheets from the paper collection... oooh remember you can earn a free pack of DSP when you buy 3 packs - until the end of the month.

Using the stamps and dies I cut out a pile of leaves and flowers which made assembling the cards very easy.

Here is a video of the process

After I made the card, I had a play with the square leaf die to decorate a little bag, and made a decorative peg to hold the top together.

Have a look at the other creations from some wonderful demonstrators from around the world.

{Pop of Petals Stamp and Punch set - Love it!}

It feels a little bit like Christmas when the new Stampin Up! catalogue comes out each year.  When I was a child, my father would take great care to purchase gifts that he knew I would love, play with and get enjoyment from using - like my first set of artist watercolour pencils.  sometimes there would be so many things I wouldn't know what to use first.

This stamp set and punch where the first to go on my list when I had the new catalogue.  As you probably know (if you have followed me for a while), I love all things floral, o having a new flower stamp and punch to play with filled me with great delight.  What I did not anticipate was how much I would love it - the set is so well designed.  It contains such a variation of textures and images.  Having these options make it so easy to use as a set or combined with other images.

Purchasing the bundle means you get 10% off the total.  I think this is such a great value for money set coming in at £33.25

It is useful to limit the colour palette when getting to know a set, here are the colours I used for the cards below.

I had great fun layering images and punched out shapes.

Here is a quick video explaining my thought processes when I get a new stamp set.

{Stencil background using dies - Oh So Eclectic by Stampin Up}

I love stretching my Stampin' Up! supplies and finding new ways to use them.
Do you see the lovely geometric pattern background?  I made it by cutting a stencil out of the Eclectic Layers dies.

It's been very sunny and hot here in mid Wales, and the garden has been growing weeds, it's a shame I can't control the garden like I can cards!

Here is the video tutorial.
