Hellooooo, happy September! How is yours going?
We've had a few changes with eldest son returning home from Uni, currently on a quest to find work - also engaged! Eeek Mother in Law life starting next year. Then Son no 2 has flown the nest to start Uni, studying Primary education.
In the craft studio I finally got round to ordering a beautiful sea themed stamp set. The art work is so detailed, it's a massive reminder of why I love stamping, I can create or demonstrate in seconds what would take me hours to do with a pen. It's called Beauty of the Deep by Stampin' Up!
I thought it was perfect to create this month's
Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Shimmy and Shake
I loved the idea of creating fish swimming around in a porthole.
The background was created using some in direct to a block, sprizting on it and smooshing it onto the Basic White card, then stamped a few strands of seaweed.
The fish were stamped and fussy cut out.
So, confession time, I meant to stick the white circle frame that I had cut out onto the card, yup, I completely forgot!
I used the Time 3D embossing folder and some Gray Granite ink to create the woodgrain.
Here is a short video of how I made it.
