Christmas Stampathon - July 2021

Who is up for some Christmas inspiration on the 25th of the month?
I know it's only July, and we have had some very hot days in the UK, but the theme for this month is

Baby, it's cold outside

please make 4 projects using this theme

to see the other participants and their creations please go to our Facebook group, where you can join in and share you makes HERE

These are the cards I made.

I used a new bundle that will be available on the 3rd August 2021 in the mini catalogue.
It is called Peaceful Deer and has some tree and deer images with a co-ordinating punch.

I decided to create a blended background and add some trees in Night of Navy, and then have the deer leaping through the laser cut snowflake that will also be available in August.

Here is the video of how I made them...

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Suite on You - Sweet Symmetry

Hi there and welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop, this month we are focusing on the Suites of products that Stampin' Up! create to make it easier to choose what we love.

I have chosen to focus on
Sweet Symmetry

it contains some very pretty papers, with patterns in the style of folk art, also an extremely versatile stamp set and punch.

I decided to create 3 cards.

The first one is made with just ink, card and paper, by making use of the symmetrical patterns in the stamp set, it was so easy to create this pattern using Calypso Coral, Polished Pink, Bumblebee and Night of Navy.

In the second card I wanted to use a piece of the beautiful paper, but also wanted to show off some of the stamps by using Night of Navy on the delicately patterned yellow paper.  By mounting it onto the matching card stock it really shows it off.

For the final card I wanted to show off the colourful paper and the leaf punch.

To watch my process here is a video

Creating cards from a Stamped Wreath with Ruth from Artful Stampin

One of my enduring and favourite things to do is to stamp with flower, leaf and texture images and create floral arrangements that can be used for paper craft projects.

I used a couple of stamp sets that will be available in August 2021.

One is called Gorgeous Leaves, and the other is going to be available as a freebie when you spend £90, it is called Delicate Dahlias.  The other floral stamp that I used is called Color and Contour and it's available in the Annual catalogue 2021-2022

For those of you who may be new to my blog, I have been using and showing people how to use stamps for the last 10 years.  Over that time I have enjoyed my personal development as a stamp and paper craft artist, and also sharing that on YouTube through my tutorials.

Here is how I stamped the wreath

The colours I used where:
Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze, Poppy Parade, Real Red, Basic Gray, Smoky Slate, Gray Granite and  Sahara Sand

The following day I cut up the wreath!
I know that still fills some of my viewers with dread, but the saying "you can't make a cake without cracking some eggs" comes to mind.

Here are the cards I made...

The beautiful grey leaves were cut using a new die set called Intricate Leaves, it accompanies the Gorgeous Leaves stamp set,

The scalloped rectangles are cut using Scalloped Contours Dies.

Can you spot the gold leaf accents?  They are from the Artistic Impressions Ephemera pack, they are laser cut pieces perfect for embellishing cards.

and here is the tutorial...
