---{Hello Dear Friend kit - Alternative designs}---

Hello crafters.

Wanted to share this beauteous kit with you today.  It immeadiately caught my eye in the mini January to June catalogue with it's bright and fresh colours.  Also, as you may know I'm a sucker for florals which this kit has in abundance.

Ok, so down to the nitty gritty of the kit.  It contains everything you need to make the cards pictured, including this stamp set below.  A useful one with some lovely sentiments in a readable yet pretty font.

I decided to have a play with the kit recently and NOT to look at the pictures provided, but use the contents to create something unique.  Some ideas worked better than others as you can see...

The gold thread makes a lovely swirly accent.

To make the card below, I took 3 of the sentiment pop out cards and stuck the floral piece over the 3 pieces with dimensionals and then cut the flower where the cards met each other, then stuck them on the card a little way from each other.

this is the one I wasn't so taken with.  I doodled around the floral image on one of the pre printed cards and then added the striped background with my marker pen.

Here is the video to see the process

---{Colourful florals on a geometric background}---

As some of you may know, I love florals.
I've discovered that what I love even more, is when florals are juxtaposed with geometric designs.  You know... those lines and repeat patterns.  Then what I love even more than that is when you have a colourful flower against a neutral.

The flowers from the True Love Designer Series Paper are perfect for colouring in and cutting out to create a fabulous focal point.

Teemed with the papers from the Well Suited Suite, the contrasts just compliment each other.

Here is the video of the live where I made them.
(Feel free to skip to the best parts)

I used the Stampin Blends from Stampin' Up to colour the flowers.  As they are alcohol based it makes blending the colours so much easier.

With the card below, can you see how the flowers are on the edge and in the corner?  Thats because they were like that on the whole sheet of paper and I didn't want to waste them.

Thank you for stopping by.

Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Annual Catalogue 2021 Sneak Peek

Thank you so much for popping by, happy Sunday and welcome to another Stampin Sunday Blog with some super talented demonstrators from around the world

It's my delight to introduce you to a brand new stamp set and dies that will be available from the 4th of May.

Its called Hand Penned Petals and it has co-ordinating dies that not only cut out some of the stamped images, they also cut a filigree style cluster of flowers. Which you can see on the box I decorated below

I decided to stamp a whole sheet with the floral stamps, then cut it up to make a collection of tags in a box.  They make the sweetest gift for someone, pretty and useful!

Can you spy 3 of the 5 new in colours?
Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent and Polished Pink, I have to confess they are all beautiful this year, and I am looking forward to incorporating them into the rest of the Stampin' Up! palette.

With the pieces left over I was able to make this card.  I love the font style on the sentiments of this set.  Do you spy some new gems?  They are so sparkly and pretty and they come in the new in colours.

Just a quick reminder, the last day you can order retiring items is the 3rd of May.

Here is a video of my creative process...
