Hello there! I hope you're having a great weekend!  We've been enjoying some lovely sunshine today in a fab park with my family and some friends.

We made this card on Friday night at a crafting event in Pontesbury, Shropshire.  Met some lovely ladies who got to enjoy some crafting and yummy cake.

~{Watercolor Wings video tutorial}~

I am so in love with this stamp set!

It was the set that was at the top of my wishlist when I saw the new catalogue.  I really loved the three step stamping that Stampin' Up! introduced to us during Saleabration earlier in the year, and was hoping for more sets using that technique.  They have totally succeeded.  The set is beautifully designed and so versatile AND it has framelits to match!

The colours I used were inspired by the colourQ challenge blog, a fantastic resource for colour combination inspiration.

However, when I shot the video I forgot to use Pool Party!  So I had another go and made this one using all the colours!

-{One Sheet Wonder Wednesday}- Week 7

Welcome to another OSWW! Can't believe this is already week 7, quite chuffed with myself for keeping going this long.  I've no idea how long I'll keep doing them, each week I somehow manage to come up with a new idea, I guess it's because I am fortunate to have such great products to work with.

Ingredients:

Stampin Trimmer

Kinda Eclectic

Cut the card to 13.5x20cm

Score at 5, 10 and 15cm across the length, and at 3.5cm, score between 3.5 and 10cm (turn card around and do the same at the other end)

Then across the short end, wit the card at 3.5cm, cut between 3.5cm and 16.5cm.

-{Fuchsia Flower Pen Tutorial}-

Isn't it wonderful how conversations with friends can spark off some inspiration!

I had forgotten how much I love fuchsia, their variety of colours and textures, and how they remind me of ballerinas.  I also love making things that are useful and pretty, so that's why most of my flowers end up as pens!

After a few trial attempts this is what happened...

Do have a play with mixing different colours, and take inspiration from the oodles of pictures you can find on the internet.

-{Paper Wild Rose}- Video Tutorial

I absolutely loved creating this.

I don't know about you, but sometimes I get those Eureka! moments when crafting.  Last week I had to prepare a paper flower class, and I knew that the ladies participating were well seasoned crafters, so I had to do something a bit different and inspirational for them.  I had been thinking about how to use stamps to create different colour effects on flower shapes, the "sun" stamp from Kinda Eclectic just seemed to work so well.

I'll let you watch the video... I'm sorry that it goes a bit blurry, my camera didn't refocus like it normally does, and I'm afraid I'm too pushed for time to re film.  Had a wonderful week preparing for and then attending a friends wedding this weekend.

On the left is a flower that I have curled the petals inwards and the other one I haven't.
