-{Snowflake pop-up box card}-

After I watched Monica Gale's tutorial which can be found {here}I just had to have a go making this pop-up box card. The instructions were really great, and the technique is so adaptable.

It's a fab way to make a really special, attention grabbing card.

I've used the Festive Flurry stampset and Framelits Dies and the Winter Frost Speciality DSP.  The sentiment is from the Christmas Messages stamp set, all the items can be ordered through me.  I've accented with the Glitter card and Basic Rhinestones.

-{scrap inspiration}-

Yes, I've been tidying - again!
I've started making products to sell on Christmas stalls, so have needed to clear my work space.  As usual I end up with lots of pots of tidbits of things I have worked with or have left over from previous projects or experiments.

AS I wasn't creating for a workshop I dug out some of my favourite retired stamps and made a few cards.

The daisy shaped clay flower was made using a cake decorating tool that cuts icing.

A left over mini art work I made to go into a necklace.

Below is a sneak peek of a new embossing folder out next month.

Thank you for stopping by.  Watch this space for some announcements about some new workshops I'll be doing soon!

-{Venetian Romance}-

Is the name of the beautiful Designer Series Paper I have used for the gift bag and card below.
If you like elegant design with a hint of the shabby and the insides of old book covers then these papers are for you.  As with all Stampin Up paper, the thickness is sturdy enough to make items such as gift bags, and being double sided you have lots of choice of patterns.

It was my Mother in law's birthday last month and I had bought a mother of pearl necklace for her a few months ago.  I wanted the packaging to be a little bit special. So this is what I made...

-{Prettily Penned}-

I have to confess that in my crafting life I have various little obsessions for making particular things.
I have enjoyed making paper flowers for a long time now, and am always looking for ways to use them, mainly on cards, wreaths. bunting, and now...pens!

Below are pictures of a `paper pen' bouquet made for my son's teacher.  I used the beautifully elegant Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper.  Then tied around the pen, just under the flower some Crumb Cake Seam Binding Ribbon and Linen Thread.  The flowers were then finished with some diamante `dew drops'.

~{I Just can't Believe you're going}~

Is how I feel about the Just Believe stampset that is retiring at the end of the month. I used some retiring colours too to create the background.

Thursday, June 06, 2013

~{farewell my friends}~

I put all the retiring stamps and colours in a basket. They're useful to have on hand so I'll use them. If there are any sets there you would like please order soon as when they're gone... they're gone!

-{Best of Flowers}-

I love Pinterest!
So much inspiration, pin it, come back to it later...and bam!

Saw {this} card on there, and as I have the Best of Flowers stamps set, had to give it a go!

I teamed up with the retiring Kindness Matters set (boohoo...so sad to see that one go), and the retiring Pool Party Bakers Twine.

The main bulk of the stamping was done in one go, I cut the cardstock into pieces after it was stamped.  Great for doing multiple cards.

-{Are you sitting comfortably?}-

Then I'll begin...

I have so much Stampin' Up! news to update you with!

Firstly, the online store is being worked on by the lovely people at Stampin' Up!, so please bear with, and if you would like to place an order, please contact me directly.

Secondly, it's an exciting time of year for us demo's.  We've just had our first glimpse of the new catalogue that will come out next month!  So that means the retired list is now out, and there are some bargains to be had!

So, without further ado, click {here} for the retiring stamps list, and {here} for the retiring accesories list.  Products are only available while stocks last, I'll be putting an order in on the 14th June, please contact me if you would like anything.

It's so bitter-sweet, I love seeing new products but am always sad to say goodbye to my favourite retiring ones.

Then thirdly, Stampin' Up! have been celebrating 25 years of business, and as part of the celebrations they have created exclusive stamp sets that will only be released each month, 3 of the images are favourites from the past 25 years and 1 is a brand new design.  To kick things off June's set is called "Best of Flowers".  And I have to confess I think it is lovely! I got it early when I went to a Stampin' Up! training day.  It is available in clear-mount only, and is priced at £13.95 and is available till the 31st March 2014.

And if that isn't enough!  Stampin' UP! have just announced that they have released five single stamps available for the clear mount blocks.  They can be purchased individually, and will come in clear-mount only, they are priced at either £6.50 or £6.95 and you will need block E.  To save your pennies they'll come in a clear celo bag rather than a case.  They'll be available to 31st August.

Phew' I hope that's enough news to keep you going.

-{Card commission}-

A little update: my Stampin' Up! store is offline whilst some tweaks are being made.  Please contact me directly should you wish to place an order.  Also there's only a week left to get £155 of product for £99 by joining Stampiin' Up!  You're welcome to do this even if you just want more stash for your cash, there are lot's of "hobby demo's" who join to save some pennies.

A friend of mine who regularly commissions me to make her special cards, rang the other week wanting one for her course tutor.  She left the design up to me.  I was leafing through some paper stash, and the Fan Fair papers with the keys on it took my fancy, and I thought up the sentiment "Thank you for being the key to our education".  This I printed with my computer and decorated the inside with.  I stamped the script stamp from French Foilage with White Craft ink onto Midnight Muse card stock, and distressed the edges with the fabulous distress tool in the Spring/Summer mini (don't miss it on page 14)

Here is the card, it was fairly large, approx A5.

-{More playing...}-

...with new technique.

Couldn't decide which one to blog so I'm putting them all on!
