{Stampin Sunday Blog Hop - Inked Background}

Hi there, welcome to my blog, today is the day of the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop, I am privileged to be a member of this inspiring group of demonstrators. Do have a look at their blogs (links further down).

Petal Promenade designer series paper available from Ruth Trice

Today's theme is to create and inked background.  In the UK we are still waiting for a product called Pigment Sprinkles to get through European customs.  However there are lots of products available that can produce some very effective results.

As it was the end of the school term my daughter wanted to make some cards for her teachers and teaching assistants.

We made some inky backgrounds on the Shimmer White card, then stamped and decorated.

After the cards were made I had made this banner with the Pop of Petals stamps.

Here is the video explaining how it was all done, I hope you will inspired to get inky and create custom backgrounds for your creations.

Here are the other fabulous bloggers...

{One sheet wonder Beautiful Friendship- 1 sheet 4 cards}

Have you ever heard the phrase... 'Sorry, not sorry'?
I'm afraid it applies to this weeks One Sheet Wonder.
It's using this stamp set... again!

Sorry if you've had enough of it now, however I hope it inspires you and shows how versatile it is.

I met up with a friend for lunch at a local garden centre this week, we were able to look around their gardens, and loved looking at and smelling some beautiful roses.  Can't help but share them with you now.

Aren't they beautiful?

Here is the video...

Here are the photos.

[One Sheet Wonder 12x12 Faux watercolour flowers}

As you've probably gathered, I really really do like these floral stamp sets!

I was having a play with the two of them the other day as I wanted to come up with a new picture for my facebook banner, and possibly some new designs for my blog graphics.

I choose colours that match well... Petal Pink, Grapefruit Grove, Terracotta Tile and Cajun Craze, and came up with this.

Today I had some spare time to do a Youtube live, and as the stamps were stillon my desk I decided to have a play again, this time on 12x12 cardstock.  It's something I have been meaning to do for ages!

Here's what happened (a sped up version)

Here is what it looks like...

{OSWW tutorial with Magnolia Blooms and Very Versailles Stampin Up sets}

Have you noticed a pattern?  I used this gorgeous Magnolia stamp last week.  I just love it, and I'm only just getting started, I've not even had a go colouring it yet!

Anyway, here I've paired it up with the divinely gorgeous Very Versailles.

I used Seaside Spray cardstock with Black ink and Seaside Spray ink.
Yes, just 2 colours.

Enjoy the video!

{One sheet wonder - Orchid Builder and Swirly Frames}

I know, it's not a Wednesday, however I've had this video sitting ready to be shown to you.  It was filmed a few months ago when the Orchid stamp was available.  I didn't want to waste the video, so here it is.  I hope you can use the principles used in it to create your own similar patterns.

{One Sheet Wonder Wednesday - Magnolia Blooms meets Beautiful Friendship}

After using the Beautiful Friendship set last week, I've become quite obsessed with it.  So much so I had to see how it married up with another new set called Magnolia Blooms.  Now if it looks familiar, but you haven't noticed it in the catalogue, that's because it isn't in there!  It is featured in a brand new mini catalogue for beginner stampers.  Please let me know if you would like a copy.
 It contains these lovely floral elements and 3 very useful sentiments.

I had the idea of using the rose elements of Beautiful Friendship to "colour in" the Magnolia flowers.

Here is the video of the stamping and making of the bag.
