{One Sheet Wonder Wednesday - Craft White Stamping}

Happy Wednesday!
Went in a very different direction today, decided to only use the Craft White Ink Pad from Stampin' Up!  If you've nexer used it before, it's quite a sticky ink, and its worth running a heat tool over your work before handling it.

It was my first time with this technique, and I'd like to play with it a bit more, as I'm not completely happy with the outcome.

Here are the photos and the video, enjoy.

Enjoy the video tutorial.

Welcome to the...

3rd Round of the

Be inspired every month with a Christmas Challenge on the 25th of the month.

The challenge this month is to create projects using mainly W H I T E and use it to make 4 items, they could be cards, bags, tags or whatever will help you with your Christmas crafting.

When you have made your creation, please photograph it and add it to the Facebook group here.

I really enjoyed this challenge, and will try to do it more often, it was really liberating not to have to think hard about colour schemes and matching.  I know that might sound crazy coming from me as I love colour!

{Stamping Sunday Blog Hop - Floral Romance}

Hello and Welcome, I hope you having a great Sunday so far.  Welcome to the Stamping Sunday Blog Hop.  We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world, we love sharing ideas and inspiration with you, so please make sure you have a look at the other blogs.

I choose to focus on the Floral Romance Suite, and in particular the beautiful paper and ribbon, with the addition of some sentiments from the stamp set and a few other embellishments.

There are 12 sheets in total in the pack, 6 vellum sheets, 3 each of 2 single-sided designs and 6 printed sheets, 3 each of 2 double-sided designs.  The top two in the picture above are the vellum sheets.  I decided to focus on these in particular on my cards.

This card doesn't require many special tools, it consists of a piece of vellum and some cut out leaves from the leafy vellum sheet.  There are some gorgeous mini buttons on page 39 of the Spring/Summer catalogue, the colours go perfectly with the papers.  I took apart some of the white flax ribbon (pg 35 Spring/Summer) and threaded up the buttons and tied a bow... can't bear a naked button!  I stamped a sentiment onto some Whisper White card and attached it.

The next card has some more elements to it.
Do you notice the scored frame around the edge of the card?  Such a simple little technique using the trimmer's score blade, or a score board.  Just turn your card upside down and score away.

The new Crackle stamp is fabulous for creating backgrounds, to stamp just a hint of it I only inked the centre of the stamp and held it in my hand and dabbed it to place it in the centre of my card.  the little pink flowers I cut using one of the little flower punches from the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack (pg 25 Spring/Summer)

I made use of the gorgeous variegated ribbon for this card, it's perfect for making sumptuous bows like this, with a little help from some glue dots.

Can you see the little dots around the card and the vellum?  The piercing tool and stamping mat came in handy with a ruler to create this simple but effective accent.  Couldn't resist adding a few extra pearls too.

All the sentiments came from this stamp set...

Thank you for visiting, I hope you enjoy visiting all the other blogs today.

This a super simple and quick little project if you need a couple of little bags for gifts etc.

{Watercolouring with Fable Friends from Stampin' Up!}

I have increasingly been inspired by the amazing water colour artists displaying and demonstrating their work on social media.  A couple of weeks ago I decided to have a go with the Stampin' Up! watercolour paper, shimmer card and our reinkers.  I love that when our inkpads start to run out we can refresh them with a bottle of intense pigment ink, I also love that they can be used for projects such as these and the baby wipe technique (which can be seen here).

As you'll see in the video I go through a process of trying to "do" water colour a certain way, then trying a new way and finding my rhythm.  It reminded me that to get to a point where you are happy with the results of your art it takes some pushing. Pushing of your own preconceptions of what works and what doesn't, pushing the medium to find what you would like it to do.

The result was a 16 minute video tutorial, I deliberately kept in a lot of my process for you to see how it all came together.

The colours used are from the subtles collection, with some experimentation on our standard card stock too.

This card had some extra work with the daisy, leaf  and small flower punch from the Bitty Blooms punch pack.

{One Sheet Wonder Wednesday - Floral Monograms}

I may have had this idea bouncing around in my head for a while.
As you know I love florals, and I also have a love of typography, so in this project I managed to combine both.

If you don't own a large letter stamp set, you can create similar effects with a Word Processing Program, enlarge some letter really really big, and print them onto Stampin' Up! card stock.  For the best results allow the ink to dry, and maybe even waft a heat tool over it to set the ink.

Enjoy the video tutorial.

{One Sheet Wonder Wednesday - Needle and Thread - Stamp placement tutorial}

A slightly late blog post, sorry about that.
I didn't have a video ready for Wednesday, so I decided to "go live" on my YouTube channel.  If you don't follow me it's worth clicking the subscribe button to get notifications of when I upload videos, and if I go live, you can do this right now, by clicking here

It ended up being a slightly different One Sheet Wonder.  I created 4 individual looks from one sheet and also talked through my creative process.  I hope it will help any of you who feel a bit daunted about how to place images to create a professional look.

The video is about 40 minutes long, however on some devices and if you are watching via a PC you can click on the settings button (looks like a flower) and change the speed at which you watch it.  I often watch videos speeded up, saves a lot of time, but you don't loose out on the content by skipping.

Here are the cards

The stamp set I used is
 Needle and Thread
and the Crackle stamp.

The colours used were
Mint Macaron
Sahara Sand
Lovely Lipstick and
Soft Suede
